Case Study Trex in Chislehurst Kent

Installer: Browns Landscape and Decking
Stockist: Alloways Timber, Mitcham
Location: Chislehurst, Kent
Products used: Trex Enhance® in Foggy Wharf, and Trex Transcend® in Island Mist

A duo of popular Trex composite decking colours were used to create this substantial and sleek deck in Kent.

The inspiration

TrexPRO Platinum Installers Roger and Luke Brown at Browns Landscape and Decking was tasked with creating this impressive deck to surround a new swim spa, providing practicality without compromising on aesthetics.

The detail

After the homeowner replaced a swimming pool with a swim spa, Browns Landscape and Decking was chosen to create a vast surrounding decking area which not only covered the old paving but also provided easy access for maintaining the swim spa. To overcome the access issue, a runner system was installed in the form of sliding deck panels on both sides that can be pulled out.

While Browns Landscape and Decking’s creativity and technical skills were valuable for providing this practical solution, there was no compromise on the deck’s visual appeal. Trex Enhance® Naturals shade Foggy Wharf was selected for the main area of the deck, offering the beauty of wood and the benefits of composite at an affordable price.

Popular Trex Transcend® colour Island Mist was also incorporated into the deck’s design, its darker grey tone both contrasting and complementing Foggy Wharf’s lighter hue. Island Mist was installed into the borders of the deck, as well as for the standout inlay designs either side of the swim spa. The space also features curved decking boards to fit seamlessly into the garden’s existing layout, as well as stainless steel and glass balustrades.

The full effect

The use of these two popular grey shades was the ideal choice for updating this space to a modern yet timeless decking area in Kent.

Many Thanks to Arbordeck for this case study.
